Audio Training Series: Module 2 This module covers the ins & outs of using the I & E tab, which is relatively unchanged in 2012. There are a couple of new columns, notably one for Purchases and one for Sales Tax Collected. Essentially, the I & E tab is an electronic checkbook register. More than that, as you enter your expenses, you're also categorizing them for your tax return. It makes preparing a return so much easier! And if your accountant does your taxes, you'll quickly become a favorite client! It gives you up-to-the-minute profit/loss figures, as well as how much Self-Employment tax you might owe, based on the amount of any profit that you show. This way, you can see in advance how much you need to set aside, so you don't get surprised come April 15th. Click the play button below to start the audio recording; as you listen, scroll down the page from one slide to the next, as each one is discussed.
